Kandace Layne
Kandace Layne was born in Brooklyn, NY but moved to Atlanta, GA as a child. Her parents are of Caribbean descent, and she was raised in a Rastafarian home until her parents separated in her early teens. Her mother then converted to Islam. Both of these phases of her life heavily influenced Kandace's artistic style.
Kandace began her tattoo apprenticeship when she was 17 years old, which took two years to complete. She then worked at multiple tattoo shops in the Atlanta area until deciding to open her own private studio in 2021. Kandace's mission is to put her art on human bodies, while also helping clients celebrate their bodies and feel more like who they really are. Kandace believes that tattoos are spiritual and also offers intentional tattoos with the option to have a ceremonial tattoo session.
Kandace works best with clients who are open minded and familiar with her style and previous work. Kandace is a great artist to work with whether you are getting your first or 50th tattoo. She enjoys freehanding tattoos (drawing directly on the body), but also posts predrawn available designs often. Keep an eye on her social media or subscribe to be up to date on Flash Tattoo Events, available designs, and collaborations.
