Meet Wes Holland

“With over 15 years of tattooing experience, my work blends bold traditional foundations with thoughtful design.

I specialize in Japanese, American Traditional, and Afro Americana tattoos — always with a focus on clarity, composition, and long-term wearability.”

How I Approach Tattooing

Tattooing, for me, is a continuation of a long visual tradition — a link in the chain of art history.

I’m drawn to the discipline and structure of traditional styles: bold lines, readable forms, and deep symbolism that adapts to each client’s body.

My approach is rooted in design theory and built for the long term. A strong tattoo should hold its form decades from now. I focus on clarity, contrast, and fit — every piece is designed with the wearer’s experience in mind.

My Style & Influences

My primary focus is on large-scale, graphic work in Japanese, American Traditional, and Afro Americana styles — built around bold, symbolic imagery.

I approach these traditions with respect and care, drawing influence from Japanese ukiyo-e prints, vintage floral illustrations, Vintage Black style and fashion ads, and religious artwork from pre-Renaissance periods across the world.

When working in realism or anime styles, I prioritize accuracy and likeness — making sure portraits and characters are rendered clearly, faithfully, and with strong visual impact.
